Tina Perry

Perry has led the evolution of OWN’s programming slate, focusing on premium scripted programming from African-American storytellers. In February, the network premiered “Cherish the Day,” an anthology drama created by Ava DuVernay. Perry also commissioned the unscripted relationship series “Love Goals,” which made its debut in March. She is a regular speaker at academic events aimed at fostering growth for women and minorities, and was honored in 2019 with WICT Southern California’s LEA Award. “Our industry must take a deeper look as to why our senior executive ranks are not as diverse as they should be,” Perry says.
