Perry is OWN’s not-so-secret weapon. Her insights and negotiating skills have proven instrumental in the continued expansion of the network’s scripted programming, from landing Ava DuVernay’s acclaimed drama series “Queen Sugar” to an overall deal with Lionsgate that includes another one of the network’s top dramas, “Greenleaf.” Perry also is responsible for bringing the talents of Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil to OWN, along with a new series from Will Packer and “David Makes Man” from Oscar-winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (“Moonlight”).
