Why You Need To Pay For Data Protection
>> In the past year alone, more than 20 percent of survey respondents who manage between 2 TB and 7 TB of data report losing some of it. More than half said it happened not once but two and three times.
>> Respondents estimate that the average data loss cost companies between 2 percent and 5 percent of total annual revenue.
>> 95 percent have some sort of disaster recovery plan in place. Interestingly, just 44 percent of IT decision-makers currently have a remote, cloud-based disaster recovery plan in place.
>> 75 percent said they plan to implement some form of remote, cloud-based disaster recovery solutions by the end of 2012.
>> A whopping 95 percent of U.S. respondents said at least some of their company’s data is on such mobile devices as laptops, tablets or smartphones.
>> 40 percent of U.S. respondents whose mobile devices contain corporate data said they have no plans to address vulnerability on those devices.
>> 54 percent use a service provider to aid them in recovering data.
>> Nearly half of respondents said that they'd rather perform a solo of Lady Gaga's song “Poker Face” at their company holiday party than have to inform senior leadership that vital company data had been lost and is unrecoverable.
