ESPN and Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) inked a multiyear media rights deal to have the series broadcast exclusively on the network. Beginning in summer 2023, races will air on six consecutive Thursdays at 9pm, following a similar format that SRX had in the 1980s.

This Friday could be a fireworks show for carriage and retrans with Fox Corp. and Altice USA becoming the latest to announce an upcoming distribution deal deadline. Their deal expires Friday night at midnight, and if a renewal isn’t reached, a blackout would impact local O&O stations, FS1, FS2, Fox News, Fox Business Network and the Big Ten Network.
