Michelle Rice

Already a fixture in the media industry, Rice’s profile is set to gain new heights as she’s poised to serve as the global board chair for The WICT Network next year. She keeps TV One buzzworthy, adding “Black-ish” to its lineup and continuing to celebrate Black excellence with the annual Urban One Honors. Sibling CLEO is steadily gaining momentum, inking new carriage deals with Mediacom, Astound Broadband and MCTV.

“Vice President Kamala Harris’ historic run for President of the United States added many more cracks in the glass ceiling. It both inspires and paves a way forward for other women to one day break through.”

What does a truly equitable industry look like to you? Women represent 50.5% of the U.S population. So why shouldn’t our industry strive to match or beat this 50.5% as a baseline for representation of women among senior executive, Board of Directors and President/CEO positions? Our businesses should reflect the communities they serve, not just because it the right thing to do but because the data supports that companies that are more diverse are more competitive, innovative and excel financially.
