Joiava Philpott

The Why: Philpott has been an avid supporter of Cox’s various employee resource groups, including the Women’s ERG and Hola!, and she serves as a current executive sponsor of its Black ERG, Soul. Mentoring is important to Philpott, who is involved with the Cox Pipeline Mentoring Program and the Executive Mentoring Program to guide diverse talent. She’s also a founding member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ Sister2Sister Teen Mentoring Program.

She Says… “When employees see leaders involved in ERGs, fireside chats, diverse mentoring, sponsorship of diverse employees, etc., those are all forms of advocacy that speak volumes and lead to greater inclusion.”
