Effective horror often taps into something deep within; a collective dread, a shared abhorrence, a common revulsion. Creepy, atmospheric, and scary as all get out, the trailers for the film adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror tome “It” understood this. Not relying too deeply on jump scares, the It trailers focused on methodically revealing the face of the story’s titular villain, reminding us all why clowns, for some reason, scare the hell out of us.
