DirecTV did a deal with Weigel Broadcasting for its flagship network, MeTV. The channel, which airs classic TV from the 1930-1990s, is now available nationwide on DirecTV and DirecTV Stream for customers with the Choice and above packages.

Optimum Loses Sony Movie, Z Living
Altice USA’s contracts for Sony Movie Channel and Z Living expired as of Nov. 1, with the parties unable to reach a new agreement. The operator is telling Optimum customers they can find similar programming on AMC, TCM, Starz Encore Westerns, MeTV, TV Land and FETV.

Multicast Moves
Two additional broadcast multicast channels are now available on DirecTV. Grit, which features American Western programming, can be found on channel 81 and Bounce, a channel with programming, specials and events designed for Black audiences, is on channel 82.
