Harris clocked time at the White House Counsel’s Office from 2010-12, where she served in a variety of roles. It’s no wonder one of NBCU’s top female leaders is known for keeping calm under pressure. She provides legal advice to the NBCU senior management team and supervises the legal function, which handles legal matters for all of the company’s business units. She also coordinates NBCU’s global regulatory and legislative agenda. Arguably, her most challenging case came this year when she oversaw an investigation involving NBC News management related to Matt Lauer’s workplace behavior. Away from work, Harris sits on the board at Advocates for Children of New York, which provides legal and other services to at-risk students in the New York City schools system.
