Lopez played a key role in relaunching Fuse last fall, which helped propel the network to become the largest independent multicultural and largest Hispanic-targeted cable network. She also struck renewal deals for Fuse and distribution agreements for the new music network FM, bringing the networks into roughly 70 million and more than 43 million homes, respectively. Although Lopez is making her mark as one of a small number of industry leaders invited to be part of The Cable Center’s Hauser Oral History project, she knows there’s more work ahead when it comes to diversity within the industry. “Diversity in media is a work in progress, which is why I’m such a strong supporter of the T. Howard Foundation.”
