The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunication Bureau is seeking comment on its proposed procedures for the filing of Phase II Certifications of Accelerated Relocation in the C-band proceeding as well as the implementation of the Commission’s Incremental Reduction Plan for payments tied to the accelerated relocations. Comments are due on April 20.

FCC Gives Out 2.5 GHz Licenses
The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau awarded 51 of the 68 flexible-use, county-based overlay licenses won via the Commission’s 2.5 GHz auction to successful bidders. Of the applications granted, 15 applicants received small business bidding credits and 23 obtained rural service provider bidding credits. Staff continues to review the remaining 17 long-form applications.

FCC Reveals Qualifiers for 2.5 GHz Auction
The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau revealed the 82 applicants that have been deemed qualified to bid for approximately 8,000 flexible-use geographic overlay licenses in the 2.5 GHz band. The county-based licenses will support 5G wireless services. Among the qualified applicants are AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
