Kumar and his team were busy supporting the digital marketing and sales experience that coincided with the launch of the Xumo Stream Box, which has had one million products rolled out throughout Charter’s 41-state footprint. Kumar also has spent seven years as a member of the committee that helps select recipients for the Spectrum Digital Education initiative, which has led to the investment of $9 million to enhance digital literacy, training and technology.
Who is an unsung DEI hero? I think the leadership at Charter doesn’t get the credit they deserve. From the CEO down, our leadership is focused and committed to fostering an environment and culture that allow diverse individuals the opportunity to thrive.
Has the internet created more inclusion or exclusion? The continued expansion and evolution of the internet has helped create a more inclusive world, democratizing opportunity. There is always more to be done to make sure more people have access to the internet. Charter is a huge believer in this and you can look at programs we’ve supported like RDOF to bring affordable high-speed internet to those without access.
Advice I would give a recent graduate: Specifically in my area, Digital Sales, we live in incredible world where you can further your knowledge and gain experience by the incredible resources available online. Whether it’s watching classes online, setting up your own website – you can gain invaluable real-world experience for little or no cost. You can separate yourself from the pack by showing initiative by taking your learnings from school and turning them into applied examples.
