Boyers was recently re-elected to an unprecedented third two-year term as chairman of ACA Connects, thanks to her fearless advocacy in the nation’s capital on behalf of small- and medium-sized providers. What’s one legacy of the cable industry worth protecting as the business evolves?
The legacy of our founders, those cowboys of the late 1950s and 1960s who literally started this industry on a shoestring; who took the risks and pioneered what we know today as cable. We must never forget the sacrifice of those early entrepreneurs. If we forget where we came from, we can never truly go home.

Fictional female leader (movie/TV) you’d actually want as a boss?
Well, I don’t “do” bosses….you tell me?

What’s a rule you break on purpose?
ALL OF THEM!

What policy or regulatory issue should everyone in this industry be paying more attention to?
There is always a plethora of policy and regulatory issues plaguing our industry. That’s why ACA Connects is SO VITAL, especially to the rural and independent operators!  We’re watching the “hen house” for you!

What’s one workplace expectation for women you’d like the next generation to leave behind?
The reality that women have different expectations in the workplace, and that the workplace has different expectations for women!  Why the hell, in 2026, can we not leave all of that behind NOW! In this generation!  Those of us “Most Powerful Women” and those women on who’s shoulders we stand, have already, RUN THE RACE & FOUGHT THE FIGHT! My greatest expectation would be that we never have to honor women separately—that we can be honored for our ACCOMPLISHMENTS, OUR CHARACTER & OUR JOB WELL DONE!! PERIOD!
