In a year packed with NBCU tentpole events, Williams led her team in successfully executing the multiplatform distribution of live and VOD content for The Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and Telemundo’s first-ever broadcast of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Her leadership and work ensured content was enabled across set-top box, TV Everywhere, and MVPD partners. “The number of devices and platforms along with the pace of change have really been the most dramatic area in our sector of the business today vs. three years ago,” she says.
What’s a recent example of a step forward for diversity in the industry?
Being Asian Pacific American and similar to what so many APAs are feeling right now, it is so refreshing to see for the first time in a very long time a major studio film with all Asian cast that has zero reference to martial arts or the stereotypical Asian roles portrayed… That is a huge step forward for the media industry as a whole and makes me hopeful that changes are among us.

If there were a reality show based on your office, what would it be called?
“Brainiacs Got Talent”! (I work with the smartest group of people and am still uncovering all the hidden talents on the team.)
