Jennifer Caserta

It’s been a rapid climb for Caserta, who was named AMC Networks’ chief transformation officer in 2018 before expanding to her current role. In just a year, she’s greatly expanded the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts by leading the creation of nine employee resource groups. Looking ahead, she’ll continue to navigate AMC Networks through a rapidly changing industry as it continues to grow. “Through programs like AMC Networks’ many active Employee Resource Groups—including Women@AMCNetworks (our largest group), PACE (for parents and caregivers), and DRIVE (focused on professional development)—women can tap into a great community and find the resources to help them thrive,” she says. “And through partnerships with organizations like WICT, T. Howard and NAMIC, we continue to celebrate diversity and inclusion and create opportunities for future rising leaders, not only in our hallways but across the industry.”

What specifically does your company do to support and elevate the women who work there?
Through programs like AMC Networks’ many active Employee Resource Groups – including Women@AMCNetworks (our largest group), PACE (for parents and caregivers), and DRIVE (focused on professional development) – women can tap into a great community and find the resources to help them thrive. And through partnerships with organizations like WICT, T. Howard and NAMIC, we continue to celebrate diversity and inclusion and create opportunities for future rising leaders, not only in our hallways but across the industry.

What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
It’s overly practical and simplistic…but don’t sweat the small stuff. Don’t worry so much over the things that aren’t as important as those that will need much more care and attention later.

What current shows best reflect the kind of women’s roles you like to see and why?
I love seeing confident female characters who are unapologetically themselves. Midge Maisel (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Sam Fox (Better Things) are two of my favorites today. I also love Kate McKinnon on SNL – her performances are multi-dimensional, and her comedy is fearless.
