Gregg Fujimoto

Fujimoto is a true people person, partnering with local businesses and governmental entities in Hawaii to ensure the state’s citizens had the connectivity, products, services and manpower they needed when COVID-19 disrupted everyone’s routines. Leading the Hawaii division has also allowed Fujimoto to promote and support local talent, and it’s only helped his market grow. “As our local talent gains exposure, viewership increases, which drives support for Spectrum Hawaii programming as well. It is a virtuous cycle of inclusion, diversity and support at a market level,” Fujimoto says.

The conversation about racial injustice in 2020 has been… repeated over and over. My hope is that some good will come from today’s environment and the dialogues we are beginning to have.

In what ways can companies best show a sincere commitment to diversity and inclusion?
The first step is always awareness. When companies are aware of the benefits of inclusion and diversity all things are possible.

How have you been a champion of diversity & inclusion in your professional life?
Being part of Spectrum Hawaii’s division allows me to promote and support local ethnic talent. As our local talent gains exposure, viewership increases, which drives support for Spectrum Hawaii programming as well. It is a virtuous cycle of inclusion, diversity and support at a market level.
