Orlando was elevated from her previous interim head status in September 2017. She now leads original programming, music programming and specials, as well as the BET News teams responsible for creating, developing and producing content across the net. It’s thanks to Orlando that BET now has the hit awards show “Black Girls Rock Awards,” of which she is the executive producer. Orlando serves on the advisory board for Clark Atlanta University’s TV department, and once partnered with Jay-Z to produce the soundtrack movie “The Streets is Watching.
