Connie Orlando

Orlando recently celebrated her first anniversary in her new position, which was formalized from the interim role she took on leading programming in the wake of the departure of Stephen Hill and Zola Mashariki. She leads original programming, music programming and specials, and the BET News teams. Her success comes from providing content that not only reaches BET viewers, but does so in an authentic way—and her track record at the network is strong. She helped launch the “BET Truth Series,” featuring docs “Katrina 10 Years Later,” “Muhammad Ali: The People’s Champ” and “Stay Woke,” and her recent successes include miniseries “The Bobby Brown Story,” which followed last year’s hit docudrama “New Edition Story.”
