Cesar Conde

In the heated battle for top Spanish-language network, the house of Conde is flying high. 2018 was the first year Telemundo Deportes owned rights as the Spanish-language home of the FIFA World Cup Tournament. The Season 2 premiere of “La Reina del Sur” has kept ratings growing, and Conde also was instrumental in launching Telemundo Academy, the first multimedia educational initiative to partner with high schools and universities to train a new generation of media leaders. Telemundo joined NBC News and MSNBC in hosting the first Democratic presidential debate of the 2020 election cycle, with Conde and team concentrating on creating programming and initiatives to fully engage US Hispanics in the political system. NBCU celebrates diversity by “presenting positive role models, telling diverse stories, commemorating heritage and fostering dialog on a variety of platforms,” says Conde, who serves on the board of directors of PepsiCo and Walmart.
