Cesar Conde

Leading one of the most-watched news organizations in the U.S. means also overseeing this year’s summer Olympics and presidential elections. Conde handles it all with grace, clarity and humility while achieving impressive growth throughout a portfolio that includes NBC News NOW, MSNBC and Telemundo. As the first Hispanic to lead a major English-language news organization, he has prioritized diversity in the newsroom. His commitment to having diverse voices is reflected in NBCU Academy. Conde spearheaded this initiative to train aspiring journalists by partnering with 45 academic institutions serving traditionally underrepresented communities and aims to create a sustainable pipeline for aspiring journalism professionals.

Advice I would give a recent graduate: Dream big, work hard, stay humble.
