Cesar Conde

In a year of executive juggling at NBCUniversal, Conde landed as head of the company’s news group in May, overseeing NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC. He was previously chairman of NBCUniversal International Group and Telemundo Enterprises. Conde is getting right down to business when it comes to diversity in the news division, setting a goal of having a 50% diverse work force across his purview. He’s outlined that the benchmark is based on a five-pillar plan—investment, content, education, partnerships and measurement. Conde is the first Latino to run a major English language network TV news division. Under his leadership at Telemundo, the Spanish-language network posted record ratings gains and grew its reputation as a Hispanic innovator.
