Catherine Bohigian

During her career Bohigian has influenced federal and state legislation that pumped billions of dollars into making broadband available for all and has supported federal rules that advocate equitable cost sharing between owners of utility poles and ISPs, two initiatives that remain top priorities for her and her team. Favorable pole attachment laws remain a critical piece of Charter’s ability to continue to offer high-speed internet in rural communities, as are outreach and events that promote the company’s expansion through programs like the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund. Bohigian is approachable and fosters a positive work environment, with a keen ability to think on her feet, stand by her decisions and push people in the right direction.

Do you personally still have a traditional cable video package? Of course. It’s the best value.

What emerging industry trend are you most excited by and why? Xumo—our joint venture with Comcast—has really transformed how we consume video by making it so easy to find what we want to watch. It seamlessly integrates our cable package and OTT services with great search and discovery so that we don’t need to know what network or service has any given show. We ask for it and as long as we’re paying for it somewhere, it appears.
