Tina Pidgeon

Pidgeon’s tenacity shines through all aspects of her work and leadership of GCI’s legal and regulatory team. Her emphasis on training and mentorship through GWeN (GCI Women’s Network) provides company employees with advancement opportunities that will help position more women as leaders in the private and public sectors. Pidgeon’s favorite female TV character is Issa Dee on HBO’s “Insecure.” She “lives unapologetically in her own skin through laughter, insecurity, disappointment and joy,” she says.

Who is your favorite current female TV character and why?
Issa Dee on HBO’s “Insecure.” The character created and animated by Issa Rae lives unapologetically in her own skin, through laughter, insecurity, disappointment, and joy. I love that powerful example.

What is one way the industry can continue to evolve in ridding itself of gender discrimination?
By reminding ourselves continually that our businesses cannot maximize their potential and opportunity unless and until we reflect in our decision-making the broad experiences of our customers.

Best advice for relieving stress?
Planning, exercise (as long as thinking about it counts, too), and remembering that no situation has ever been improved by putting it off. And listening to the “Dear Evan Hansen” soundtrack over and over and over.
