Susanne Daniels

Former WB and MTV programming exec Daniels joined YouTube in 2015—and the company has been seeing Red ever since. Under her watch, YouTube Red (recently rebranded as YouTube Premium), the subscription service built around longform scripted and unscripted originals, has taken off to deliver both a new revenue stream and magnetic content like “Karate Kid” sequel “Cobra Kai.” Daniels and her team have been working fervently to expand the platform’s slate of content across the globe. In recent months, they launched YouTube’s first two shows in France and have tested sponsored originals in India that won’t require a YouTube Premium subscription. Next on Daniels’ to do list: launching original content in South Korea, Mexico, the UK and Japan.
