Stephanie Mitchko-Beale

Mitchko-Beale has been steering Charter’s technology ship for a little over a year now, making the jump from Cadent, a provider of data-driven solutions for buying and selling TV advertising. Her role for the second-largest cable operator in the US has her overseeing network, mobile, video and software engineering teams, as well as network architecture, tech policy and emerging technology. “I would describe my leadership style as authentic, mindful and conscientious,” she says. “While this style didn’t necessarily change during the pandemic, I recognize that these traits were elevated to a certain degree. Team members had, and continue to have, a variety of challenges, and being able to connect with them and support them is critical to ensuring the success of our business.”

What is one of your proudest moments or achievements during the pandemic? I’m most proud of my Charter colleagues, real-life heroes who worked tirelessly to ensure that our customers remained connected throughout the pandemic and were able to work and learn from home.

How has your leadership style changed during the pandemic? I would describe my leadership style as authentic, mindful and conscientious. While this style didn’t necessarily change during the pandemic, I recognize that these traits were elevated to a certain degree. Team members had, and continue to have, a variety of challenges, and being able to connect with them and support them is critical to ensuring the success of our business.
