Sarah Gitchell

Since transitioning to her new role, Gitchell has been instrumental in shaping Comcast’s content strategy, completing key renewals and leading compliance and field operations. A recent Master of Laws graduate in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, she’s known for championing new models in media rights and encouraging her team to innovate in a shifting landscape. Gitchell’s leadership also shines through her mentorship within Comcast’s Women’s Network, The WICT Network and the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.

While having a solid working understanding of the pay TV industry is invaluable, it can also sometimes prevent me from seizing upon new ways of monetizing and distributing content.”

What’s the toughest part about being a leader in the industry? The toughest part of being a leader today is keeping up with the pace of change. As technology, consumer preferences, and content creation rapidly change, it’s more difficult than ever to recognize the signals that tell us which trends are actually going to take hold.
