A former CFX Marketer of the Year, Pisani spearheaded the campaign launch of “Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition” and the first live event for “Growing Up Hip Hop.” She recognizes that campaigns can’t include solely traditional releases and announcements, but need strategic social media initiatives as well. She’s passionate about mentorship, and leads a department made up of 75% women, most of whom she hired or promoted. The industry can do a better job of recruiting women and ensuring they have a path to senior positions “by changing the ways we recruit, retain and empower women in the industry and by creating deliberate initiatives to foster more diverse voices,” she says.

Which current shows best reflect the kind of women’s roles you like to see and why?
We’re in an incredible time of rich, multidimensional roles for women on TV, where they can be messy, ambitious and authentically nuanced. From Shiv in “Succession,” Helen in “The Affair” to Villanelle and Eve in “Killing Eve,” they’re all complex women at the center of the story.
