Rachel Welch

Heading up the team that develops Charter’s public policy positions and builds external partnerships around shared policy objectives, Welch also oversees federal affairs. What specifically does your company do to support and elevate the women who work there?
I feel really lucky to be in the cable telecommunications industry and at Charter, which puts a tremendous amount of resources into training and mentoring for employees, including women. What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
Take risks, try new things and don’t sweat the small stuff.

Which current shows best reflect the kind of women’s roles you like to see and why?
I don’t watch TV very often but if tennis is on, I’m glued to it. Serena Williams is a strong, authentic woman who I love to follow on and off the court.
