Pragash Pillai

The Why: Pillai is actively engaged in Altice USA’s ACT (AAPI Community Together) affinity group, which connects, supports and mentors members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community and works toward fostering a more inclusive environment within the company. While he’s leaving the company at year-end, we’re certain his track record as a DEI advocate, which has included serving as NAMIC treasurer, will continue in his new role.

He Says… “It is important to provide the ability to participate, contribute and to be heard equally. Embracing diversity and promoting a sense of belonging is an important aspect of Inclusion.”

Place I would love to retire to: Lake House. Sitting at the dock and enjoying nature.

How do you define inclusion? An environment where all individuals are valued and respected. It is also important to provide the ability to participate, contribute and to be heard equally. Embracing diversity and promoting a sense of belonging is an important aspect of Inclusion.

Do you think there has been significant progress on DEI in the industry in the past year? Absolutely without question. I’m seeing more engagements, programs, and funding specific to DEI. For example, AUSA has been recognized DEI Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion for the third year in a row. The achievement is possible because of our commitment to championing diversity and inclusion as we work together to innovate, develop, and deliver best-in-class products and services for our customers.
