Lori Conkling

Conkling has been instrumental in uncovering innovative ways to stay ahead of the curve and keep up with user trends as streaming services become more and more popular. Among key partnerships she’s led are the launch of NFL Network, Discovery Networks and ViacomCBS, as well as growing YouTube TV’s lineup of premium networks, from HBO Max to new sports package Sports Plus, which includes access to NFL Redzone among other popular sports networks. And this past April, YouTube TV announced a groundbreaking, multiyear, strategic partnership with Univision across Google’s products and services. Like so many of her peers, Conkling is a Brené Brown fan. She recommends “Dare To Lead,” whose premise is “that companies need to cultivate braver, more daring leaders by embedding the value of courage into their culture.”

What one female empowerment book do you think every woman should read?
“Dare To Lead” by Brene Brown is a must read. The premise is that companies need to cultivate braver, more daring leaders by embedding the value of courage into their culture. I definitely think this applies to our industry given the dynamics and evolution we are experiencing and managing through every day. We must be courageous leaders that make the tough calls and celebrate our successes and own our mistakes.
