Lori Conkling

NBCUniversal continues to expand its reach into the digital space, with Conkling lending a hand. She was involved with the company’s reported $500 million investment this spring in Snap. Conkling and her team developed the business case and helped craft the deal’s commercial partnership terms. Asked how the industry can evolve to rid itself of gender discrimination, Conkling says, “We must continue to recruit, mentor and promote women in this industry. There should always be a running list of women in your network that you can recommend for senior level jobs that you are made aware of.”

What famous woman, living or deceased, would you like to have dinner with?
I would love to have dinner with Malala Yousafzai. I recently saw her documentary (“I Am Malala”) and was blown away. She is wise beyond her years and is such a strong role model for perseverance and forgiveness.
