Schwartz helped build several key AMC Networks brands into models of quality, consistency and reliability, and since being upped to co-president this February she now oversees creative, finance and distribution for IFC Films and Sundance Selects Films. Her innovative approach to developing unique distribution methods has helped cable television to remain a leading purveyor of entertainment, even in a very crowded and competitive environment. To her 13-year-old self, “I would tell her to trust her instincts, even if she can’t explain why in the moment of decision. Her inner voice and gut instinct will be among her best assets,” Schwartz says.
