Once again this year she raised the bar on NBCUniversal’s advertising even higher by securing single-digital CPM increases—despite increased competition from digital streaming services. Her efforts led to upfront sales of close to $6.5 billion for the company’s portfolio of two broadcast networks, 15 cable networks and more than 50 digital properties. Yaccarino’s success stems not just from her innate understanding of both advertisers’ needs and consumers’ wants, but from her ability to identify and produce mutually beneficial relationships within the industry.
