Hopkins’ sincere interest in the wellbeing of others helped her build a solid network of loyal and trusted colleagues. Not only does she want GSN to do well, she wants its clients to do well, too, which is probably how she secured renewals with some of the largest MVPDs without encountering much acrimony on animosity. Hopkins is working to leverage GSN’s expertise in mobile entertainment into new revenue and retention opportunities for clients. What kind of programming does she think represents women accurately? “Nurse Jackie,” because “even through her flaws, of which there are many, she is still a strong personal- ity, professionally competent, and fast on her feet.”
