“Technological transformations driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning will continue to dominate headlines in 2018. Customers crave immersive, multi-screen entertainment experiences and expect us to deliver them in a responsive, personalized manner.” This is according to Goldstein, and she should know. Promoted to her post in February, she’s an expert in developing transformational consumer- and business-facing acquisition and loyalty marketing strategies and capabilities—both key to Comcast Cable’s growth.

What industry topic do you think will dominate industry headlines in 2018 and why?
Technological transformations driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning will continue to dominate headlines in 2018. Customers crave immersive, multi-screen entertainment experiences and expect us to deliver them in a responsive, personalized manner.  We will see substantial enhancements across all points of consumer engagement, from in-product services to self-healing equipment.

What is one way the industry can continue to evolve in ridding itself of gender discrimination?
Empowering women for success in the board room begins with investing in our future talent. Programs like Girls Who Code aim to arm teen girls with the skills to improve our technological landscape, while building the confidence of these up-and-coming leaders.  Exposing more girls to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) can foster their passion for digital innovation, which is at the heart of continued successes in our industry.
