Whitaker is still settling into her new role after heading up Comcast’s Keystone Region, but that doesn’t mean she’s been resting on her laurels. Before moving on, Whitaker significantly upgraded a rural system in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia, bringing gigabit speeds to those customers for the first time. Also crossed off the to-do list was opening nine new Xfinity stores in and around Pittsburgh in only seven months. Speaking of the City of Bridges, Whitaker sits on the board of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, a Pittsburgh leadership organization that’s been active for more than 70 years.
