Whitaker’s leadership and vision in recruiting an effective team led Keystone in May to be honored as Comcast’s co-region of the year for 2017. The foundation for this national level of success lay in what she and her leadership team call the “Keystone Vision,” which they developed and socialized to drive employee engagement at all levels. Whitaker also reached her goal of launching a regional Diversity and Inclusion Council this spring. She says Me Too is complex. “The issue is more than the accused and the victim, but rather has larger societal impacts that impede progress around diversity and gender parity. The challenge is to dig deeper and eliminate the discrimination and prejudice altogether.”
What are your thoughts on the industry’s current response to the Me Too movement, and its treatment of men who have been accused of sexual harassing and/or assaulting women and men? Are there other steps you feel should be taken?

Who is an inspirational woman you admire, and why?
I admire Serena Williams not only for her athleticism and winning spirit but for her unwavering commitment to equality. A businesswoman, a mother and a world-class athlete that uses her voice to speak up for herself but more importantly encourages others to get up and stand up for themselves and others.
What’s been the most dramatic change in your sector of the business today vs. three years ago?
The rapid shift in the way consumers are gaining access to and digesting video content. Consumers no longer rely solely on linear video via the TV but rather leverage a variety of connected devices combined with streaming services to fulfill their entertainment needs. Aggregating streaming content like Netflix and YouTube on Comcast’s X1 operating platform while offering access to streaming though the Xfinity Stream app gives consumers the best of both worlds!
