Christina Davis

Davis has long been an active member in the greater industry community, serving on the board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society and acting as a mentor to sophomores at Mount Saint Mary’s University. When she’s not leading the programming and development teams at Starz, Davis tries to find time to mentor and fundraise for both GIRLS INC. and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Los Angeles. “It is my passion to help young women find the resources and support to thrive,” Davis says. “It’s all about opportunity.”

The conversation about racial injustice in 2020 has been… empowering and inspiring.

In what ways can companies best show a sincere commitment to diversity and inclusion?
True commitment to diversity and inclusion starts behind the camera. Diverse executives will buy diverse stories and will hire people who look and talk like them, behind and in front of the camera.

How have you been a champion of diversity & inclusion in your professional life?
I am a mentor in the Women in Entertainment/ Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Los Angeles program. It is my passion to help young women find the resources and support to thrive. It’s all about opportunity.

What current shows (on linear and streaming) best embrace diversity?
I would hold up “P-Valley” and “Hightown” on Starz as two extraordinary examples of embracing diversity… the African American, Latinx and LGBTQ experiences.
