Possessing a keen eye for programming, Salata has overseen production of a robust slate of series and specials—including ratings hit “The Haves & Have Nots”—and has brought the entire OWN family of production and network management together for the first time in West Coast headquarters “The Lot.” An advocate for social change, Salata has the same answer for the person who motivates her both at and away from work: “I won the inspiration lottery. Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

My strategy continues to evolve, but I am settling in on looking at life in a more integrated way. I’ve stopped labeling them separately. One life. Mine.
