— OnApp partnered with computer giant Dell to create three pre-tested cloud packages aimed at hosting companies, managed-services providers and telcos to create and sell cloud services. The two say the packages provide a virtual infrastructure for public and private cloud services, combining a fully managed installation of the OnApp Cloud platform with racks, servers, networking, power and cabling from Dell. They also include Dell ProSupport for all hardware and OnApp’s 24/7 support service for OnApp Cloud. Initially, three options are available: building clouds based on OnApp Storage, with the distributed SAN included with OnApp Cloud; Dell EqualLogic iSCSI storage; or Dell Compellent Fibre Channel storage.
