International Datacasting Corporation and Verimatrix have joined forces for an offering that integrates the IDC Digital Tattoo DTH Over IP Gateway with the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) for DVB, featuring cardless content and revenue security for broadcast (one-way) networks. According to the partners, it enables fully encrypted end-to-end delivery of satellite television to customers living in apartment buildings, apartments, condos, schools campuses, hotels, gated communities and healthcare facilities. Using it, DTH operators can partner with a telco, wireless provider or ISP to offer a triple-play package. The IP distribution can be over wired Ethernet to serve buildings and campuses or via IP distribution over such fiber systems as GPON to serve larger geographies.
