Optimum App for Laptop, Cablevision’s latest update of its 1-million-downloaded Optimum App, allows Cablevision’s iO TV digital cable customers to watch all their subscription content live on any Mac or PC laptop computer in the home.

Optimum App for Laptop offers the following features:

>> Live TV – Delivers subscribed channels to Mac and PC laptop computers, live, in the homes.
>> Enhanced User Interface and Guide – Subscribers can review and search through program listings and choose to watch on the laptop computer or use the computer to control conventional TVs in the house.
>>DVR Management – Manages previously recorded DVR content or schedules new recordings.
>> Review “Most Watched” Info – View the top shows other subscribers are watching in real time.

As with earlier versions of the app, parental controls and closed captioning are supported.
