At next week’s CTIA expo in New Orleans, Lemko Corporation will demonstrate what it says is one of the wireless industry’s first working LTE Distributed Mobile Wireless Network (DiMoWiNe) solutions.

Lemko says its DiMoWiNe “creates the shortest possible communication path between subscribers and provides flat access to content. The DiMoWiNe ‘backhaul-less’ system demonstrates major improvements in latency while simplifying the network’s design, at a significant reduction in reoccurring operational expenses common in traditional centralized EPC/IMS core solutions.”

In addition, the DiMoWiNe solution reportedly virtualizes the EPC and IMS core at each eNodeB, placing the mobility anchor at the wireless mobile broadband network’s edge and helping to eliminate the need for data to traverse a centralized EPC/core via tunneling.

Lemko will be present in the Exhibitor Meeting Room area in MR-1636 at the Morial Convention Center; demonstrations are by appointment only (contact Brian Ponte at 847/969-7775 or [email protected]).
