RAD Data Communications will launch its Micro Network Interface Device (MiNID) at Ethernet Expo Americas during the week of Nov. 6. The device plugs into the SFP cage of any manufacturer’s hosting device, transforming it into a Carrier Ethernet demarcation and SLA verification device for remote service monitoring and fault isolation, the company says. The MiNID reportedly can handle as much as 1 Gbps of Ethernet traffic, and it features per-port and per-flow monitoring capabilities, including Ethernet OAM and loopbacks.
