The operator placed equipment on three new towers that will provide an additional 40 square miles of coverage…U.K.-based Corintech has expanded its data logger line with the introduction of its first Wi-Fi data logging sensors–the EL-WiFi. Incorporating GainSpan’s low-power Wi-Fi modules, the new EL-WiFi line now makes it possible for users to remotely monitor an environment. The sensors seamlessly stream data to a PC, back-end server or cloud-based service using a standard Wi-Fi network, without users having to manually collect data. The first product in the line, the EL-WiFi-TH, is a Wi-Fi temperature and humidity data logging sensor. The sensor measures temperature and humidity and then transmits data via Wi-Fi to a PC running Corintech’s free software package…Chicago’s Solstice Consulting launched AppLauncher, new software that automates the build, testing and deployment of iOS, Android and HTML5 mobile apps while automating code quality checking for mobile apps. AppLauncher further centralizes the app build and deployment process by plugging into a company’s existing source control and mobile device management system; as soon as a new build is finished, the company can beam it to all the test devices in the field. In addition, the “Viewing Deck” compiles metrics on the status of each app project.
