According to a new Frank N. Magid Associates’ annual Magid Media Futures survey, 42% of U.S. consumers ages 8-64 are very or somewhat interested in virtual reality. In terms of applications, consumers are interested in using VR for watching movies and TV shows, as well as playing games and travel. The brands that interest survey participants the most are Samsung and Sony PlayStation. The latter released its VR product today, October 13, 2016. The survey looked at 2,400 consumers in the U.S., matched to the census for key demographics, with data collected from July 21-August 5, 2016. Check out the full charts below (click for full size).
