The Municipality of Nama Khoi in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa installed Alvarion’s BreezeNET B solution to connect six remote municipality offices, and to deliver critical data and transactional activity in real time and to create an infrastructure that will support additional services while saving operating costs. Residents in that area now are able to buy electricity, pay taxes and conduct municipal business online without having to travel far distances either on foot or at considerable transport costs.
