Non-traditional TV is in the spotlight, with LG Electronics and TP Vision (for Philips TVs) forming the Smart TV Alliance to create a non-proprietary environment for app developers. That follows the recent creation of The Connected TV Marketing Assn, which just announced its US board. On Connected TV’s board are a couple of cable network execs, but no cable operators—yet.
