Ensequence is expanding its technology to include connected TV platforms with the debut of a Live Traffic application on the Yahoo! Connected TV Widget Engine. Yahoo!’s TV Widget Engine is available on TVs from Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony and Toshiba.

The Live Traffic widget provides viewers with a snapshot of traffic conditions before they leave home each morning. It features instant access to a street-level map of viewers’ commuting routes overlaid with up-to-the-minute traffic conditions, construction delays and alerts. The traffic application, powered by MapQuest maps and traffic data, is available 24/7. Viewers can customize the application to their own needs, which includes saving multiple routes.
