Time Warner Cable Business Class is earmarking $25 million this year to expand its fiber-optic network to established and emerging business locations in New York City. The division made this announcement earlier today at the headquarters of the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where TWCBC is finishing a multi-million-dollar investment to provide fiber-based solutions to tenants of the 300-acre business complex. In addition, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) organization, will receive a state-of-the-art Time Warner Cable Learning Lab in its Employment Center…Interra Systems and Envivio are touting the integration of the Interra Baton file-based quality check (QC) solution with the recently introduced Envivio Muse On-Demand 3.50 and 4Balancer software. “This collaboration helps to ensure high-quality VOD asset creation in the right formats for various playout devices in today’s multi-screen environment, facilitating service expansion and the monetization of VOD on any screen,” the partners add.
