Sprint will use Alcatel-Lucent‘s lightRadio Metro Cells to augment its Network Vision Wi-Fi coverage in such indoor applications as entertainment venues, transportation hubs and business campuses. lightRadio technology supports  2G, 3G and 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi.  Later on, Sprint could use the metro cells to bolster outdoor, urban hot spot and rural apps…Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. says it demonstrated “clear reception capabilities” of LTE broadcast services using evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) technology using Anritsu‘s Rapid Test Designer (RTD) and MD8430A to simulate the LTE network environment. Samsung engineers reportedly were able to create the eMBMS demonstration using RTD’s graphical script design to drive the execution of the test simulation on an Anritsu MD8430A LTE signaling tester.
